OpenAI credits caching and inference improvements for the price cut. On an internal factuality eval based on de-identified conversations where users flagged mistakes, GPT-6 Sol makes about half as many mistakes as its predecessor and reaches Astra-level reliability at lower cost, with a lower coding error rate claimed.
