Ukraine\u2019s air force reported 39 ballistic and cruise missiles plus 128 drones overnight; four missiles and 115 drones were shot down. Al Jazeera, citing local officials and AFP\/AP\/Reuters, put the death toll at least nine nationwide, with hundreds of thousands still without power.<\/p>\n
Moscow called it a \u201cmassive\u201d strike on communications and energy facilities. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko warned of power disruptions and urged people to stay in shelters. DTEK, Ukraine\u2019s largest private energy provider, reported emergency cuts across several Kyiv districts.<\/p>\n
Then the satellite twist: Zelenskyy adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov said SpaceX imposed overnight speed limits on Starlink terminals \u2014 about 100 mph \/ 160 km\/h \u2014 without warning Ukrainian forces. A Ukrainian defence ministry source told the BBC that once a vehicle or asset exceeds that threshold, the terminal loses connection, complicating interceptor drones, mid-strike missions, logistics, and recon. SpaceX has not publicly commented. Beskrestnov called the timing \u201crelated to the current political situation.\u201d<\/p>\n
