Odds of a quarter-point Fed hike at the Oct. 27\u201328 meeting jumped \u2014 Reuters\/LSEG showed roughly <strong>60%<\/strong> at one point versus about <strong>22%<\/strong> before the print; CME FedWatch readings in the mid-40s% also circulated. Bank of America slid after setting aside <strong>$1.2 billion<\/strong> for regulatory fines; Morgan Stanley dipped despite a profit rise.<\/p>\n<p>Translation: gasoline at the pump just became a Fed problem again. The October decision is live.
