On Oct. 15 it launched Bee Frontier, a $74.99 band you wear on your wrist or clip to your shirt. It listens to your conversations and hands back summaries, reminders and to-do lists. It’s on sale now. A phone-mounted sibling, Bee Eclipse, is “coming soon” at $99.99.

“They listen to your whole day,” Amazon devices chief Panos Panay said at TechCrunch Disrupt, Reuters reported. Panay pitched it as a way to stay present instead of scribbling notes.

The hardware, per Amazon: two microphones with noise filtering, up to seven days of battery, IP67 water resistance, USB-C charging, one button and a light that shows when it’s on. The Eclipse sticks magnetically to the back of your phone, claims 21+ days of battery, and prompts you to get permission from people on a call every time you start recording.

Here’s the part to read twice. Bee can connect to Alexa+ and to Amazon.com, where Amazon says the items you mention can turn up as product recommendations on its homepage. Say “we need dish soap” out loud, and that might be the next thing Amazon shows you.

Amazon’s privacy pitch: audio is processed in real time and then deleted, never stored, and transcripts are encrypted with keys only your device controls. Reuters says the free tier keeps your data 14 days, and keeping it longer costs about $12 a month. Reuters also noted Amazon took heat in 2019 over people listening to Alexa recordings and faces a class action over it, which Amazon denies.

What to do:

Tell people when it’s on. It hears everyone around you, not just you. Ask first.

Leave the Amazon.com connection off unless you actually want your small talk turning into shopping suggestions.

Use the auto-off setting so it shuts down after a stretch of silence, and delete the transcripts you don’t need.

Source: Amazon — Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, Oct. 15, 2026; Reuters via Investing.com — Amazon launches two new portable AI listening devices, Oct. 15, 2026

Bee Frontier turns your conversations into to-do lists.
