Beauty giant <strong>L\u2019Or\u00e9al<\/strong> says the boom in weight-loss drugs is affecting beauty and skincare sales, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cvglwgwpgrlpo\">BBC<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Boss <strong>Nicolas Hieronimus<\/strong> told investors the use of GLP-1 drugs is \u201ca very important phenomenon for us\u201d and is \u201chaving an impact on beauty consumption and skin care consumption in particular.\u201d Those are the diabetes drugs like <strong>Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro<\/strong> that took off once people found they suppress appetite and drive serious weight loss.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the angle: rapid weight loss can, for some people, leave loose skin, including around the face. It isn\u2019t caused by the drugs directly, but L\u2019Or\u00e9al is happy to help anyway. Hieronimus said its <strong>SkinCeuticals<\/strong> and <strong>Kiehl\u2019s<\/strong> brands have products \u201cdesigned to work alongside and complement GLP-1 and its side-effects on skin sagging.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s going deeper.
