Details of more than <strong>41,000<\/strong> people working for the US Department of Homeland Security have been leaked to the public, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cq8jzkpjr28vo\">BBC<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The leak includes names, work addresses and phone numbers, plus descriptions of their work, for staff including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents. More than <strong>21,000<\/strong> work for CBP and nearly <strong>6,600<\/strong> for ICE, according to the data, which also lists Homeland Security Investigations, the Federal Protective Service and even CISA, the government&#8217;s own cybersecurity agency.<\/p>\n<p>A group calling itself the <strong>Department of Peace<\/strong> says it got in through the single sign-on service <strong>Okta<\/strong>. Okta says: \u201cOkta is secure, and we have no evidence our data or systems were compromised.\u201d Journalist and researcher maia crimew and the site Distributed Denial of Secrets published the database, named <strong>Icepick<\/strong>.
