At least <strong>nine 3,000kg aerial bombs<\/strong> hit the village of Komyshuvakha in Ukraine&#8217;s southern Zaporizhzhia region on Monday, regional head Mykhailo Semikin said, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cjy56dndlyz0o\">BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>President Volodymyr Zelensky said that after the first strike on the local school, &#8220;used for humanitarian needs,&#8221; there was a <strong>second attack<\/strong> on the place where people were sheltering. In his late-night address he said <strong>26 people<\/strong> were now known to have died. Ukraine&#8217;s emergency service earlier said the dead included two rescuers and four police officers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Russians could not have been unaware that the local residents who remained in Komyshuvakha received humanitarian aid there every week,&#8221; Zelensky said. &#8220;This is yet another proof that Russia does not want any de-escalation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Semikin called it a &#8220;terrible tragedy&#8221; and said &#8220;people are still under the rubble.&#8221; Rescuers had to halt their work several times because of Russian drone attacks in the area.
