Democrats won control of <strong>both<\/strong> the House and Senate in Tuesday&#8217;s midterms, AP and Ballotpedia reported \u2014 a sweeping rebuke to President Donald Trump and Republicans over prices, the Iran war, and corruption concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/news.ballotpedia.org\/2026\/11\/04\/democrats-win-u-s-house-and-senate-majorities\/\">Ballotpedia<\/a>, Democrats will hold at least a <strong>231\u2013141<\/strong> House majority and a <strong>54\u201344<\/strong> Senate majority as late ballots keep coming. They flipped <strong>at least seven<\/strong> Senate seats in states Trump carried in 2024: Kansas, Iowa, Texas, Ohio, Maine, North Carolina, and South Carolina \u2014 including Kansas&#8217;s first Democratic senator since <strong>1932<\/strong> and Texas&#8217;s first statewide Democratic win since <strong>1994<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/midterm-elections-democrats-republicans-trump-b1d26390b7ed7968435089be6d3bf612\">AP<\/a> said Democrats also flipped <strong>more than two dozen<\/strong> House districts, some that voted for Trump by double digits two years ago, and held battleground Senate seats in Georgia and Michigan. Ballotpedia counted <strong>14<\/strong> Republican House incumbents beaten and <strong>zero<\/strong> Democratic incumbents lost.<\/p>\n<p>Governors flipped too: Democrats gained at least four \u2014 Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, and Texas \u2014 for a majority of statehouses for the first time since 2010.
