Cheap smart-home kit with a Matter bridge is about to hit the mailbox. Meross opened pre-orders for the MSH450P Matter Smart Hub Pro and four wireless sensor kits, with shipping expected Sept. 28, HomeKit News reported Sept. 23.
The hub joins Ethernet or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, talks Matter into Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, and Home Assistant, and bridges up to 32 Meross devices. New sensors ride Bluetooth Low Energy; the hub keeps a 433 MHz radio for older Meross gear and one-tap migration from the prior MSH450. It can speak custom multi-language alerts (door open, water leak) and keeps local alarms working if the network dies.
The four IP66 sensors (−20°C to 60°C): MS120H temp/humidity with 1.9″ display and up to 100 dB alarm; MS220H door/window plus vibration, doorbell mode, and doorway light; MS420H leak/rain/freeze/water-level with a 1.5 m probe; MS700H programmable button with three screens and up to nine custom controls. Pre-sale hub $26.99; sensors $22.99–$28.99 (kits with hub $42.99–$43.99). Caveat for Apple Home users: BLE-bridged Matter means not every fancy mode (vibration, nine buttons) is guaranteed to show up in Home — check exposure before you order.
