Google’s Gemini Spark can now run multi-step workflows inside Google Photos — search and curate shots, enhance copies, build albums, share links through Connected Apps, schedule recurring highlight dumps, and pull text out of images into Docs.
Google Photos lead Shimrit Ben-Yair said the rollout hits eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S. (English) over the coming weeks. Spark is framed as an always-on personal agent; Photos is the latest first-party app it can drive.
Safety notes from the rollout: edits create a new copy, new albums start private, and Spark asks before sharing albums or sending email. You’ll need Photos connected in Gemini, Spark toggled on, and Face Groups / related Photos settings enabled for the smarter people/place queries.
